AnswerThe term HYBRID means that a combination of materails are being used in a bowling ball's coverstock. Hybrid can mean a ball uses both a solid and pearlized coverstock. Hybrid can also indicate a combination (or blend) of coverstock formulas. Hybrid coverstocks tend to deliver greater hook than pearlized coverstocks, similar in hookability to solid coverstocks.
